Helping you heal trauma by reconnecting with yourself and finding calm within nature and animals
NATURALLY UNBRIDLED COUNSELING
About
We live in a time when we are always busy. We rush from one appointment to the next. We continually strive to prove ourselves to those around us (our boss, our kids, etc.). It can all become exhausting and overwhelming to our nervous system if we don’t disrupt this pattern. You may know deep within yourself that you need more than someone to talk to for therapy. Another Zoom call or another office room to sit in isn’t what you’re looking for. I’m here to give you something different to help you heal past trauma and actually recharge yourself. Let’s get out in nature. Let’s be with horses. Let’s find beauty in the simple things that we so often forget to notice. Let’s invite you back home to yourself.

ABOUT ME
Laura Mote, LICSW
I am professionally extroverted, but socially introverted. In other words, I’m really good at being outgoing and connecting with people, but I also need to seriously recharge myself and find some peace and quiet alone, too. This is why I’ve found my sweet spot with being a therapist (working with people) but also doing therapy in a way that is rejuvenating for me (still being out in the stillness of nature).
My Professional Background
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Alaska and a Masters degree in Social Work from Walla Walla University. I have working in the helping field for 20+ years and I’ve been a therapist since 2014.
I reeived specific training in equine assisted therapy through the Natural Lifemanship Institute. I am currently working on becoming EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a specific kind of trauma treatment. I also specialize in veterinary social work, supporting pet owners and veterinary workers.
